The BCGEU is now the largest union that organizes casino employees in the province and negotiates strong collective agreements.  Most members of BCGEU 1, 5, 6, 12 and 20 are in the b.C retirement plan. The retirement plan currently has more than $23 billion in equity. Most members of the other components are covered by the Community Pension Plan (PPP), the College Pension Plan (CPP) or the benefit retirement plan covered by the union itself.  Point Grey Campus employees as trades, food and hospitality industries, technicians and research assistants, as well as in various positions covered by Schedule A. CUPE 116`s CUPE 116 agreement, also represents Aquatic Centre staff under a separate collective agreement. The union is divided into a demerger structure based on professional groupings. Each component has geographical premises.
This is the structure of the union`s components: the most recent conditions approved by Queen`s Printer and Unifor: employees who perform agricultural duties at the Agassiz Education Research Centre. Although the UNION Constitution requires the Union not to follow a political party, THE BCGEU was a major and long-term supporter of the BC New Democratic Party and contributed 157,770.64 $US in the year following the 2009 provincial elections.  .
